New year, new kit, new faces!

2020 has got off to a flying start and we’ve hit the ground running after our break, it’s been brilliant to see such keen interest in our services and what we can offer at the start of a New Year. There of course is uncertainty around what the future holds with, dare we mention it, Brexit but so far, so good (long may it continue!). We’ve seen a steep increase in requests for site visits, tree surveys and work to be priced and booked in. As a result of this we have brought on new faces and moved around familiar ones in the business to accommodate needs as we move forwards. Callum has worked tirelessly since the return from Christmas as our Contracts Manager, focussing on bringing on new clients and giving his undivided attention to existing ones…..and with more clients, comes more work. Conor, an experienced and incredibly talented climber has joined us on the tools, along with Cameron who, in a trainee role, has got stuck in and is learning more every day. We’re due to welcome further team members soon who again come with their own specialities and aspirations for their own careers. We pride ourselves on training staff with little to no experience and stretching the knowledge and capabilities of some of our longer standing members of the contingent. Our lead climber Dan was the first climber at AJB to be put through his NPTC 0021-09 Level 3 Award in Aerial Tree Rigging recently and we’re delighted to say he passed with ease! Another string to his bow and the perfect asset for those trickier jobs that we come up against. Throughout the next few months we have further opportunities for our staff, from mewp training, to stump grinding courses and trailer towing experience. The more knowledge and skills across the board the better.
We’ve also taken delivery of some very smart new kit as you may have seen via our Instagram and Facebook recently. Our two new diggers have their own individual capabilities, both are brilliant tools. We also purchased a flail to attach to our Takeuchi TB228 along with a tree shear. These attachments enable us to open doors to a wider range of jobs and meet further requirements for our client base. Our Kubota U10-3RT is perfect for jobs with difficult access requirements and ideal for tree planting with ease. As part of our work we are keen to provide an efficient service for the planting of trees to encourage new growth and support the environment as much as we can. We are now offering a hire service of our diggers and various other equipment for the new year. Please give us a ring or email if you’d like to discuss any hire requirements you may have, we’d be delighted to help.
We have so many exciting things coming up and we’re eager to watch this year unfold. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to keep an eye on us and our movements….watch this space! And as ever, please do get in touch for any tree, fencing, landscaping works or just to chat through anything you may need or any concerns you have. We haven’t turned down a job yet and we look forward to tackling the next set of challenges that come our way! Bring it on 2020.
